European and Albanian context
Forest certification is the principal terrestrial lever available to a services organisation: certified sourcing converts a procurement decision into support for sustainable forest management. Albania's forest and mountain ecosystems make this a locally resonant commitment.
NOVARIC® implementation commitments
- Source PEFC-certified paper and timber-derived materials wherever physical procurement occurs.
- Prefer suppliers with credible environmental management aligned to ISO 14001 principles.
- Eliminate single-use plastics from NOVARIC® offices under the Green Initiative.
Key performance indicators
Measured through the Manual's 90-indicator register (browse the full register):
- ENV-07 Certified-materials share (PEFC)
- ENV-08 Single-use plastics elimination
- SUP-07 Supplier environmental criteria coverage
All paper procured by NOVARIC® — a small residual volume under the paperless-first policy — must carry PEFC certification. The requirement is written into the Responsible Procurement Standard and verified in supplier assessments.
